The ocean speaks to Don. In those moments when he stands paddle in hand and surveys the infinite expanse before him, he feels that the ocean is alive and communicating its wisdom.

Don and his brother Jon – who also works for Hawaiian Telcom as a Network Inventory Manager – come from a long line of watermen. They spend countless hours on the water training for stand up paddling competitions, often rising well before dawn. With busy lives full of work and family commitments, they find balance by making this time for reflection.
