Article Date: 9/6/2018

This single sign-on experience means that for many apps on iOS, tvOS and Roku, you don't need to sign in to each individual app with your My Account credentials.

TV Provider Privacy Policy as of 12/7/2016
Go to Settings > TV Provider > About TV Providers and Privacy.
The TV Provider feature allows Apple, your TV Provider and third party TV apps to access and exchange information about your TV subscription account so you can login once to your TV Provider account and automatically get access to TV shows and movie content that are part of your TV subscription from within TV apps. To use this feature, you must enable TV Provider on your device and give your permission for each TV app before it can use your TV Provider account data.
When you login to your TV Provider account, your device will store certain information about your TV subscription account on the device such as the TV Provider name and your user display name. This information is used to enable the feature and the exchange of subscription information between the TV Provider and TV app. Your TV Provider can share your subscription account information with any TV app you have enabled to verify your access to certain subscription or content offerings. Such information may include your user ID, household ID, and account zip code along with subscription package details.
If you have iCloud Keychain enabled, a copy of this information is stored in your iCloud account to synchronize your iOS devices. The copy is encrypted, and Apple does not know its contents. If you do not have iCloud Keychain enabled, this information is not sent to Apple.
You may choose to disable the TV Provider feature at any time. To do so, open Settings on your iOS device, select TV Provider and sign out. This will sign you out of your TV Provider account. You may also choose to disable TV apps on an individual basis.
By enabling the TV Provider feature, you agree and consent to the transmission, collection, maintenance, processing, and use of your TV subscription account information by Apple and its partners and licensees to provide and improve TV subscription account based products and services. In addition, you are allowing your TV Provider and TV apps to exchange and use your TV subscription account information and are subject to their terms, privacy policies and practices. You should review the terms, privacy policies, and practices of your TV Provider and such TV apps to understand how they use and share your TV subscription account information and related information.
At all times, information collected by Apple will be treated in accordance with Apple’ s Privacy Policy, which can be found at www.apple.com/privacy.
