These steps will show you how to set up a new Hawaiian Telcom e-mail account in Thunderbird.
Thunderbird Setup
1. Begin by opening Thunderbird
2. If this is the first time you have opened Thunderbird the Import Settings and Mail Folders Fom dialog box will pop up
3. Be sure the Don't import anyting option is selected
4. Click Next >
5. Select the Email Account option is selected
6. Click Next >
7. Enter your full name in the filed labeled Your Name
8. Enter your Hawaiian Telcom E-mail Address in the Email Address field
9. Click Next >
10. Select the POP option under the Incoming Server Type
11. For the field labeled Incoming Mail Server enter mail.hawaiiantel.net
12. In the Outgoing Server filed enter smtp.hawaiiantel.net
13. Click Next >
14. In the box entitled Incoming User Name enter your Hawaiian Telcom E-mail Address
15. Click Next >
16. Enter your Hawaiian Telcom E-mail Address as your Account Name
17. Click Next >
18. Make sure all the listed information is correct
19. Click Finish to finalize the setup
