Combo Splitter / Filter
Where?
Use a combo splitter / filter at any phone jack in which you want to use the same jack for both a phone line and High-Speed Internet line.
Why?
The combo splitter / filter will allow you to use one jack for dual functionality, as well as ensure there’s no interference between your phone line and High-Speed Internet line.

Phone / Fax Filter
Where?
Use a phone / fax filter at any phone jack that’s in use in your home. Use a filter with devices such as:
- Phones
- Fax machines
- Answering machines
- Security systems
Why?
It’s important to use a filter for devices that use your phone line, to prevent interference between your phone line and High-Speed Internet line. If you don’t use filters within your home, you run the risk of having interference between devices that use your phone line, such as background noise while on a phone call or certain devices may not work properly.

Where?
A splitter / filter isn’t needed at any phone jack that’s being used primarily for High-Speed Internet and isn’t being used for any other devices.
