Motorola 2247 - Wireless Network Setup

Step 1 

• Connect your computer to your wireless router
• While configuring the Motorola 2247, it’s recommended to use a computer that is connected directly to the modem using an Ethernet cable (it is possible to configure the modem over a wireless connection, but connectivity to the modem will be temporarily interrupted when the modem settings are changed).
• If you need to connect to your modem wirelessly, the default wireless settings can be found on the bottom of your router.

Step 2 

• Open a web browser such as Internet Explorer or Firefox and navigate to http://192.168.200.1 
• Press Enter/Return.

Step 3 

• A log in box will appear prompting for authentication information. 
• Enter the following:
  • Name: admin
  • Password: password
• Click Log In

Step 4

• Click Expert Mode 

Step 5 

• Click Yes, enter expert mode 

Step 6  

• Click Configure 

Step 7 

• Click Wireless

Step 8  

• Change the Wireless ID (This will be the name of your wireless network)
• Change the Pre Shared Key (This will be your wireless network password)
• Click Save Changes

Step 9 

• Click Yes

Step 10  

• Wait until the red message disappears

Step 11   

• You’ve completed setting up your wireless network
• You can close your browser.
• Connect wirelessly to your wireless network using the new SSID and Pre Shared Key
